A woman with long brown hair and blue eyes holds a small photo up to her face, covering her one eye. The photo shows her sitting in a photography studio, wearing a striped shirt, with a large studio light and backdrop in the background.

THE IDEA

IS THE POINT

jess@regularjess.com

I don’t really believe in silos.

As a multidisciplinary creative leader, I’ve spent my career moving between mediums, industries and problems. Ideas rarely stay in one lane, and neither do I.

I make things with people.

Finding the human truth underneath a business problem means building the right team, strategy and creative world around it.

A room with an art easel holding a monochrome painting, a black chair, a striped rug, a small rolling cart with art supplies, and a fan on the floor.

I even make things
when nobody briefs me.

As a member of the Open Arts Center in Bend, Oregon, my studio practice explores the tension between material and emotion through abstract oil painting, charcoal and mixed media. Layering shifting color with reflective foil, my work examines the line between control and chaos, our need to find meaning, and the bigger question of why it matters.

Some of the best ideas start with a pitch.

I love the zero-to-one part: finding the opportunity, building the story, rallying a team around the ideas, and turning those ideas into winning work across technology, entertainment, culture, business and consumer brands.
